Here at the Girls in Charge Initiative, we want to make entrepreneurship a real career option for female students and to equip them with the confidence and skills necessary to achieve their goals. We do this through games. Speaker-led events can be incredibly inspirational, but how long does that inspiration truly stay with you? Instead, we thought we'd create something that focuses on skills development, but in the most fun, silly, creative way possible. As children, we simply learnt through playing. Why can't we do that as adults?
Consider us a prelude to the (pre-) accelerator and incubator programmes. We help female students investigate the world of entrepreneurship before they commit to being entrepreneurs (or to a specific business idea).
WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW PARTNER SOCIETIES!
Over the past year we have run our programme at 10 universities, including: Oxford, LSE, Manchester, Leeds and Westminster. We are now expanding and looking to partner up at other universities!
